Nursery

Teacher: Staffed by Rotating Volunteers

Outside Class Activities: Burping, Wetting, Eating and Sleeping.

Pre-School

Teacher: Fran Cantrall , Tasha Nunn

Location: 2nd Classroom on left past Kitchen.

Class Snapshot: ages 2+ to pre-K

Curriculum: Activity based with a Bible Story Theme. Children learn basic bible stories and concepts which are supported with crafts/activities. Snacks are also usually provided for the children.

Youth Classes

Primary Class

Teacher: Cathy Bumgarner

Location: Front Left Corner of Sanctuary

Class Snapshot: Ages Kindergarden – 2nd Grade.

Curriculum: Bible Study themes which are supported by activities/crafts that reinforce the basic bible concepts and stories.

Elementary Class

Teachers: Randy Lankford

Location : Back Left of Sanctuary

Class Snapshot: Grades 3 – 5

Curriculum: Lesson with DVD and interaction geared to get children more involved in studying about God and biblical applications to their level of understanding.

Youth Class

Teachers: Chris Tolbert and Scott Bryant

Location: Rear Middle of the Sanctuary, next to outside entrance

Class Snapshot: Grades 6 – 12

Curriculum: Teacher selected. Lessons developed to relate to the youth in this class and to be relevant to their current age and the problems and issues that they face.

Young Adult Discussion Class

Teacher: Bradley Eller

Location: Back corner of Sanctuary, closest to the Kitchen

Class Snapshot: Class is made up of primarily of 19 and up, single, early career or after high school life stage. Class is meant to be a bridge into adult Sunday School for young adults who age out of Youth Programs.

Curriculum: This class uses a variety of materials including, but not limited to: Traditional Quarterly based Literature, Book Based Study Series, or Video Led Study Series. Class is discussion driven and led by a facilitator/moderator approach intended to get students involved and thinking about class topics and how they shape and affect their lives and belief system.

Class Snapshot: Class is made up primarily of par-ents of young children with a few exceptions. All members are invited and welcome to attend

Curriculum: This class uses a variety of materials to glean their lessons, but primarily focus on books and video study series. Class is open discussion based with the hope that a broad scope of views will help to enhance everyone’s ability to grow and understand God’s Word and the direction and application for their life.

Wesleyan Class

Teacher: Eddie Johnston

Location: Third Classroom on the left from Kitchen

Class Snapshot: Class is made up of a wide variety of adults in various lifestages, ages mid 30’s and up. Singles and Couples attend this class regularly. Open Invitation to any and All Members to Attend.

Curriculum: Theme or Topic Based Discussion is the primary curriculum used in this class setting. Class decided on future themes and Topics to be discussed. Bible Study based Books and Video series are also utilized in this classroom. Class focus is for students to dig deeper in their understanding of the Bible.

Mixed Adult Discussion Class (MADD)

Teacher: Various, Rotating

Location: 2nd Classroom on the right from Kitchen

Class Snapshot: Class is primarily made up of ages 50 and up, with some exceptions. Class has Singles and Married . Most people are empty nesters with children out of the home. Open Invitation for Any Member to Attend.

Curriculum: This class uses the Standard Quarterly based curriculum form Cokesbury Publishing. This is the predominant Methodist Literature Provider. Class is led by a variety of teachers who instruct on a rotat-ing basis. Class is instructor driven, with some dis-cussion and interaction by the class.

Meeting Time: 10:00 Sunday Mornings

Outside Class Activities: Yes, Various (ex: Dinner Theater, Baseball Games, Shopping, Dinners, etc…)

Fellowship Class

Teacher: Various

Location: 1st class on Right from Kitchen

Class Snapshot: Class is made up of our most ma-ture members, ages 55+. This class is probably our church’s most regularly attended class with atten-dance numbers remaining strong every week.

Curriculum: This class uses the Standard Quarterly based curriculum form Cokesbury Publishing. This is the predominant Methodist Literature Provider. Class is led by a variety of teachers who instruct on a rotat-ing basis. Class is instructor driven, with some dis-cussion and interaction by the class. This class is also extremely active in their own local mission work taking a weekly voluntary offering to support class driven mission activities.
